Deranged Nation - Episode 4 - Vampire Murders - The Story of Rod Ferrell

February 06, 2020 Teresa Gabelman Season 1 Episode 4

In this episode Teresa and her crew discuss the story of a deranged 16 year old from Murray Kentucky known as Rod Ferrell. Ferrell was the leader of a Vampire Clan and later became known as the Vampire Murderer when he took the lives of the parents of Heather Wendorf. When arrested by police Ferrell told them that they would never be able to contain him as he was a 500 year old vampire named Vesago. Ferrell became the countries youngest prisoner on death row in 1998 after being sentenced to the death penalty. The sentence was later commuted to life without parole because Rod was just 16 when he committed the murders. The US Supreme Court later declared life without parole unconstitutional for juveniles and just last year the State Supreme Court ruled all juvenile killers with automatic life sentences must be resentenced. After 20 years behind bars, Rod Ferrell could be a free man and he already has his new life planned.
